Why Autumn is awesome

Autumn is by far my favourite time of the year. The warmer days give way to cooler ones and the even though the trees are starting to make the transition to dormant life, they seem to also show us just how alive they are by putting on a show of colour. Adelaide has an abundance of amazing wedding venues for the Summer months but in Autumn, I reckon you should definitely head to the Hills. As a wedding photographer I am always looking for something that stands out and Glen Ewin is one venue that seems to have a lot on offer during Autumn. Glen Ewin Estate is a pristinely maintained venue that is nestled in the Northern side of the Adelaide hills. It presents some amazing photography opportunities at the best of times but Autumn has that little bit more, with stone walls that are covered in red Ivy and Trees that yellow through to gold.

Dress for the occasion. This time of the year lends itself to some opportunity to wear something a little bit different too. Take the beautiful Liz and her Boho inspired dress and flower crown partnered with Scott looking super suave in a relaxed two tone suit, or the very daring Rosie in her oh so well suited Autumnal Green wedding dress and Anton wearing possibly the most dapper Tweed suit I have seen to date, Pair all this with the seasonal show of colours, and I just know it will be a celebration that will not disappoint.

If you are looking tie the knot and haven't locked in a venue yet, I urge you to consider the Autumn months. Forget the idea that it may be a wetter time of year, I have shot enough weddings to know that you can have some really wet days in the height of Summer! Transversely you can also have some of the most perfect days in Autumn or Winter for that matter. You won't be sweating bullet's and possibly my favourite reason is that Brides and Grooms can wear some seriously "Cool" outfits! A bride with a Jacket and Groom with a Tweed suit always gets me excited.
